Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions & Troubleshooting

How do I add an individual contact?

Read our article for adding contacts.

How do I edit contacts?

Read our article for editing contacts to update student information.

How do I add a dependent?

Read our article for adding dependents to linked accounts.

How do I get past the upload screen?

You must fill in the Save this import as field and upload a CSV, XLSX, or XLS file of 5 MB or less.

What's the difference between Skip and Overwrite?

Skip doesn't change contacts that already exist in Red Belt Gym. Overwrite replaces an existing contact's information with the information in your file. If you're not sure, choose Skip.

Why don't I see my new contacts yet?

Imports run in the background. Wait a few minutes, then refresh the Contacts list. If a contact already existed and you chose Skip, it won't change.

What happens if my file has the same contact twice?

If duplicate records are found in the import sheet, the last duplicate row is used as the valid record.

What is field mapping and how to do it?

Field mapping is the process of matching attribute fields from a source to attribute fields on a target source to prevent data loss during the migration processes, e.g. First Name to First Name. The First name, Last Name, Email and Phone fields must be mapped before you can continue. The other fields are optional. If you leave them unmapped you'll see a warning, but you can still continue.
