Set Up the AI Command Center

Connect an AI provider key and choose which model handles each job, including the AI Command Center, AI Performance Analysis and AI calls.

By Red Belt Team | Last Update: October 31, 2026

Red Belt Gym's AI features run on an AI provider account that your gym supplies. On the AI Setup page you add your provider's API key, then choose which key and model each job uses. Usage is billed by the provider directly to you, and staff never see the keys.

Red Belt Gym currently works with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini and OpenRouter.

Note: Only the gym owner can manage AI setup.

Open AI Setup

  1. Visit redbeltgym.com.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Click Setup in the left-side menu.
  4. Under Apps & integrations, click AI Setup.Setup page with the AI Setup tile highlighted

Step 1: Connect an AI Key

  1. Under 1 · Connected AI keys, click + Add a key.AI Setup page with the Add a key button highlighted
  2. Select your Provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or OpenRouter. The window shows what that provider's keys can do (for example Text, Voice or Video).
  3. Optional: enter a Name for this key you'll recognize later, for example "Command Center key". You can add the same provider more than once with different keys.
  4. Paste your API key. Click How can I get this API key? to open the provider's key page if you don't have one yet.
  5. Click Add key. The key is stored encrypted, and the full key is never shown again.Add an AI key window with the Add key button highlighted

Each connected key shows its provider, name, connection status, the date it was last tested, and what it can do.

  • Click Test to check that the key still works.
  • Click Replace key to paste a new key from the same provider.
  • Click Disconnect to remove the key. Any job using it stops working until you choose another key.

Step 2: Choose the AI for Each Job

Each job can use a different key and model. Only keys that can do the job are offered.

  • AI Command Center: conversations and the actions it proposes (needs Text).
  • AI Performance Analysis: scores and coaching feedback on calls and recordings (needs Text).
  • AI calls: the model that powers AI phone calls (needs Voice). See our article on setting up AI phone calls.
  1. For each job, choose a key from the Provider · Key menu.
  2. Choose a Model. Models marked Recommended are a good starting point. Ready appears when the job has everything it needs.
  3. To use the same key for every job it can do, click Use one key for everything.Choose the AI for each job table
  4. Click Save configuration. The note next to the button tells you if a job still needs a key.
Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions & Troubleshooting

What can I ask the AI Command Center to do?

Ask in plain language, the way you would ask any other AI assistant. For example, "Show me all active students who haven't attended in the last 30 days" or "How many leads did we get last month compared with the month before?" See our article on using the AI Command Center.

Do I need my own API key?

Yes. The AI features run on your key, not one supplied by Red Belt Software. Billing and usage sit between you and the provider the key belongs to. Keep your key secret. Red Belt Software will never ask you for it. If someone claiming to be from Red Belt Software asks for it, don't send it; forward the message to support@redbeltsoftware.com.

Why can't I pick my key for AI calls?

AI calls need a key that can do Voice. Only keys whose "can do" list includes Voice (for example, a Google Gemini key) are offered for that job.

Can different jobs use different providers?

Yes. Every job has its own Provider · Key and Model menus. Add each key once in Step 1 and select it per job in Step 2.

My key was rejected. What should I check?

Check that the whole key was pasted with no leading or trailing spaces, that the provider selected matches the provider the key came from, and that the key hasn't been deleted or revoked in your provider account. Then click Test.

The Model menu is empty.

A key has to be chosen before models can be listed. Select a key in the Provider · Key menu for that job, then choose the model.

I asked for something and nothing happened.

Check that the job shows Ready and that you clicked Save configuration.

Can the AI Command Center change my data without asking?

No. Reading and analyzing happen immediately, but anything that would change Red Belt Gym is proposed to you first and needs your explicit approval before it runs.
