An upgrade path tells Red Belt Gym which program a student can move up to and when they become eligible. Once a path is active, Red Belt checks eligibility every day and adds students who qualify to your upgrade opportunities, so staff know who to talk to.
- Visit redbeltgym.com.
- Sign in to your account.
- Click Setup in the left-side menu.

- Click Upgrade Paths under Programs & training.

- Click Add upgrade path at the top of the Upgrade paths page.

- Click Source program and choose the program students are in now. You can type in the Search box to find it.

- Click Destination program and choose the program they can move up to. The Path name fills in automatically; you can change it. Students never see this name.
- Leave Status set to Active so Red Belt starts checking eligibility.

- Under Eligibility, choose whether a student must meet All rules or Any rule, then check each rule and enter its value:
- Months enrolled: at least this many months in the source program.
- Classes attended: at least this many classes.
- Belt rank: at or above a rank in a style.
The note at the bottom shows how many students meet the rules today.

- Under Financial defaults, choose whether to credit unused down payments or paid-in-full value toward the new program, and whether staff can choose the date the upgrade takes effect.
- Optional: write a Student-facing message (up to 200 characters). It appears on the upgrade offer and in the student app.

- Click Save upgrade path.

Manage Your Upgrade Paths
The Upgrade paths page shows how many paths are active, how many students are eligible right now and how many upgraded this month. Each path card shows the program students move from and to, the rules, the number of open opportunities and how many students upgraded in the last 90 days.
For example, a kids program ladder might use three paths: Tiny dragons → little dragons after 12 months, little dragons → Forge Kids MMA Program after 24 months, and Forge Kids MMA Program → Kids BJJ after 24 months.
- Use Search paths or programs, or the Status, Source program and Logic filters, to find a path. Click List to see the paths in a table.
- Click Edit path on a card to change its programs, rules or messages.
- Click the three dots on a card to Edit path, View open opportunities, or Deactivate the path.
